Altro Aquarius PVC Weld Rod
Altro Aquarius PVC Weld Rod comes in a 4.5mm diameter with a total length of 50 linear metres, It is supplied on 6 inch plastic reels and box packaged. Available in a range of colours designed to blend with Altro Aquarius safety floor coverings.
When hot welding joints a 3mm groove must be cut evenly along each floor joint and internal and external mitres on coved sections, once grooves have been cut the safety flooring can then be hot welded, bonding the joints together to create a water tight join, the weld rod needs to be allowed to cool and set, Once cooled first reduce the height of the surplus weld rod with a recommended tool such as a spatula fitted with a spatula guide. Then, using the spatula only, trim the remaining weld flush with the surface of the safety flooring. For external mitres use the square router blade and for internal mitres the round router blade.
