Altro Wood Comfort Deep Cherry is an extra thick wood effect safety floor specifically designed to provide added comfort underfoot and reduce noise in the retail, health and care and education sectors.

A homely wood effect finish replicating the beauty of a natural timber floor with the added benefit of moisture and slip resistance, creating a practical safety flooring solution that helps reduce fatigue. Great in noisy environments such as hospitals, schools and retail shops, where users are on their feet all day.

Aesthetically pleasing with high levels of comfort underfoot its Ideal for hospital corridors and classrooms in schools and universities, retail shopping malls, student accommodation and social housing.

A 2.85mm thick safety floor that offers 14dB sound reduction, easy furniture and equipment movement such as wheeled traffic like hospital beds, clothes racks and castor chairs. Comes with an extra heavy commercial and general industrial wear classification with a commercial wear warranty of 10 years and an expected lifetime of 15 years.

This safety flooring should be laid in accordance with the Code of Practice BS 8203:2017 and installed by a professional. The material should be stored for approximately 24 hours at a room temperature of not below 14°C. When laying, the area should be at a steady temperature of between 14°C and 27°C for at least 48 hours prior to, during and for at least 24 hours after completion.

Altro Wood Comfort Deep Cherry safety flooring can be straight laid or used in conjunction with “sit on” or “set in” skirtings. The materials can also be self-coved. In areas that are subject to moisture spillage, the complete installation must be sealed with the use of conventional clamping or welding type drain gulleys and access covers, sealing of pipes, toilet pans, door frames etc. and the use of appropriate sealing methods between the junction of the Altro flooring and the wall covering or other floor surfaces.

Once fully installed, all joins and mitres within the installation should be hot welded with the matching colour Altro Weldrod.
