F Ball Stopgap P141 Acrylic Primer 5 Litres for Non-Absorbent Surfaces

Stopgap P141 is an acrylic primer designed to promote adhesion and application characteristics of Stopgap levelling compounds to non-absorbent subfloors. Stopgap P141 contains recycled uPVC pulver that dries to a hard, textured surface to enhance bond performance.

Stopgap P141 is recommended for use over non-absorbent surfaces such as ceramic tiles, treated power floated concrete and Stopgap waterproof surface membranes. Stopgap P141 is also recommended prior to the application of Stopgap 600 over non-absorbent surfaces when applied at thicknesses greater than 20mm.

It is suitable for use over normal underfloor heating and is pigmented yellow for visual control of coverage uniformity.

Floor surfaces must be suitably prepared: sound, smooth, dry (<75% RH) and free from contaminants that may prevent adhesion. The temperature of the floor must be a minimum of 5°C when the primer is applied to the subfloor and underfloor heating must be off for at least 48 hours before, during and after application. Ensure the subfloor is dry and incorporates an effective damp proof membrane.

Apply the primer directly to the floor at approximately 13m² per litre. Do not extend coverage as this may affect adhesion properties. Avoid puddling in depressions as this will affect drying times.
