Installation and Handling:

• Storage: Store flat in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.  
• Acclimatization: Allow the hardboard to acclimatize to the environment where it will be installed for at least 24 hours before use. This helps to minimise any movement or distortion after fixing.
• Cutting: Use a sharp saw blade or utility knife to cut the hardboard to the desired size. Score the surface before cutting to achieve a cleaner edge.
• Fixing: Use appropriate fixings, such as screws or nails, ensuring they are suitable for the substrate and application.
• Finishing: The smooth surface can be painted, laminated, or veneered as desired. Prime the surface before painting to ensure good adhesion.

Limitations:

• Moisture Sensitivity: Standard hardboard is not suitable for use in humid or wet environments. For exterior applications or areas with high moisture levels, consider using oil tempered or exterior grade hardboard.  
• Non-Structural: This product is not designed for load-bearing applications. For structural use, choose plywood or oriented strand board (OSB).
• Surface Imperfections: Minor surface imperfections may be present, which may require filling or sanding before finishing.

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and eye protection, when handling and cutting hardboard.

• Dispose of any waste material responsibly in accordance with local regulations.
